ABSTRACT

The development of information technology (IT) has greased the wheels for growth in the digital economy or digital society and has become a dream come true with some challenges. Digitalization refers to the imbibing of ICT in any area of process. Digitalization or digital transformation started right since we started to use barcode readers, debit, or credit cards where the banking setup underwent a great makeover. Though ICT was in existence in the field of education, a country like India has not introduced it extensively in comparison with developed countries. Slowly due to the pandemic, it has started to dominate the education sector too, which was unexpected. To go through the roof and get identified in this competitive environment, every individual needs to prove themselves where digital skills are essential. Digital transformation has become an integral part of the modern economy’s schema. This study aims to bring out the platforms that are convenient for the users along with understanding the effectiveness of digitalization from the point of view of students and teachers as well; 200 responses were collected. This includes equal contribution from the teachers and students. This comprehensive study tries to investigate the reasons and aims behind the students and teachers accepting digitalization along with their expectations. Various analysis like the Chi-square test, Case Processing Summary, 56descriptive statistics, t-test, and paired sample test were implied to find out the fact if digitalization could aid in a better understanding of subjects and paves the way for the holistic development of every learner.
