ABSTRACT
In today’s era of increased lifestyle standards and life expectancy, there has been a constant demand for supplements by consumers. Nutraceuticals are among the most popular supplements. Although there is a lot of opportunity for growth in the nutraceutical industry, there are no consistent regulatory standards globally. Several countries are looking to the nutraceutical industry to help them maintain their people healthy and safe by implementing certain laws and regulations. In general, industrialized countries have rules in place; nevertheless, certain countries, such as Asian countries, have not yet finetuned their regulations for nutraceutical products. This might be a massive opportunity for manufacturers to introduce their products into Asian markets.
