ABSTRACT

Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has globally emerged as a pandemic that resulted in the halt of all activities worldwide. As a result, all the government and private institutions and organizations were entirely shut, countries went into lockdown situations globally. Keeping view of its disastrous effects, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak to be a pandemic on March 11, 2020. The devastating effects of COVID-19 have posed serious threats to the economic condition worldwide. The increasing effects of the pandemic on local and global economies were parallel to the humanitarian tragedy. The top economies of the world are already influenced to a great deal by the fears of unforeseeable impacts of the pandemic, whereas the recession is being forecasted by several economies. In doing so, the issue of resuming the economy has fueled controversy, as there is no certainty about when and how this will happen due to the unpredictability of COVID19’s sustainability and resilience. Due to its negative economic impact, the pandemic has become an entrepreneur’s response to declining market 50demand, difficulty reconciling with resources, and/or entrepreneurial failure due to strict measures to secure social distance. Therefore, referring to this overview, it is expected that the start of entrepreneurial projects will be significantly reduced. Dealing with such disasters caused by the coronavirus requires changes in entrepreneurship and the environment. Entrepreneurship requires rational decision-making to seize opportunities in markets where decisions must be made by assessing opportunities and recognizing the need to identify market gaps.
