ABSTRACT

Durability is one of the most important characteristics of recycled aggregate concrete. The compressive strength, drying shrinkage, accelerated carbonation, resistance to freezing and thawing, and water absorption under pressure are tested using recycled coarse aggregate sampled from two plants.

An ordinary coarse aggregate (crushed stone aggregate) was replaced with ratios of 0, 30, 50 and 100 percent by recycled coarse aggregate from two plants and mixed with water-cement ratios of 50, 60 and 70 percent and tested for above mentioned properties
