ABSTRACT
This paper presents a review of current practice and products concerning the recycling of demolition debris in the United Kingdom. The types of recycling plants currently in operation are outlined and an indication is given of the types of recycled aggregate products being produced. Current and potential uses for such products are discussed in relation to current British Standards and Specifications covering materials for new construction. Cost comparisons between recycled aggregates and the natural aggregates with which they compete are also presented.
