ABSTRACT
Polyethylene (PE) has been the simplest polymer molecule examined for both its dynamic and structural characteristics. At first sight, a polymer molecule which is essentially a “polymethylene” would not seem to possess enough different structural characteristics to warrant more than a casual investigation. However, numerous PEs are available commercially that have substantially different physical properties and subsequently different end-use applications.
