The solid solutions are mixed oxygen ion and electronic conducting materials. The total electrical conductivity reaches 3.8 S/m and the oxygen permeation is about 2.6 × 10−7 mol/m2.s, at 1173 K. The influence on the electrical conductivity and oxygen permeation of the valence change of Tb3+/4+ ions and of the addition of yttria to the solid solutions is discussed.
