ABSTRACT

The solid state relations between alkaline earth metal doped lanthanum chromite and 7.5 mole % yttria stabilized zirconia (7.5YSZ) in air have been investigated. A reaction product of the mixture of 7.5YSZ and (La0.7Sr0.3)CrO3 heated at 1500 °C for 24 h was found to be Sr4Zr3O10. (La1-xSrx)CrO3 (x = 0.1 and 0.2) showed no reaction product with 7.5YSZ at 1500 °C for 168 h. In the couple of 7.5YSZ and La(Cr0.8Mg0.2)O3, La2Zr2O7 was observed after heating at 1500 °C for 96 h. No reaction product between 7.5YSZ and (La1-xCax)CrO3 ( https://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"> x = 0.1 https://s3-euw1-ap-pe-df-pch-content-public-p.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/9781003421290/07e4de97-c68f-4ca1-95b4-28d8b410031d/content/eq665.tif" xmlns:xlink="https://www.w3.org/1999/xlink"/> , 0.2 and 0.3) was found at 1500 °C for 168 h. It was found that all the elements of the perovskites diffused into 7.5YSZ at 1500 °C.
