ABSTRACT
Presented here are the preliminary TEM results aimed at characterizing the oxidation behaviour of Ni-Cr alloys with nominal compositions Ni-5wt%Cr and Ni-20wt%Cr. The results highlight the manner in which scaling processes come to be dominated by either oxygen or chromium diffusion and lead to the development of structurally distinct scales.
