ABSTRACT

The suspen-dome structure combines the advantages of a single-layer latticed shell structure and cable structure, which improves not only the internal force distribution of the structure but also the bearing capacity of the structure, making it possible for the structure to obtain a larger span. However, research on the seismic performance of suspen-dome structures lags far behind actual projects. China is a country with frequent earthquake disasters. As an important building in the city, the destruction of the suspen-dome structure will cause casualties and property losses if it is not provided with sufficient seismic protection. Therefore, this paper will study the vibration reduction of the suspen-dome structure by adding viscoelastic dampers. The optimal damping effect of the structure is determined by studying the reasonable location and optimal parameters of the damper.
