ABSTRACT

Pervious concrete is a widely used pavement material in the “Sponge City” road laying. Its good permeability could absorb excess rainwater on the ground, and its good mechanical properties can meet the requirements of the road. However, compared with ordinary concrete, its strength and durability are poor, and different curing methods have a greater impact on its performance. In this paper, the influence of two curing methods, soaking curing and covering curing, on the strength and permeability performance of polymer pervious concrete with three water-cement ratios of 0.27, 0.30, and 0.33 is studied, and the reasons are analyzed. It was found that the strengths of the specimens made by soaking curing are lower than that of covering curing, and the soaking curing method has a greater effect on the permeability performance than the covering curing method. With the increase of the water-cement ratio, the permeability tends to decrease.
