ABSTRACT

In the existing literature, the simplified method of a similar triangle is used to calculate the pre-bias of the transmission tower foundation, which has poor generality and a complicated calculation process. In order to facilitate engineering use, this article uses Tekla Structures to model and assemble the tower legs, foundation, and connection nodes of the transmission tower. According to the requirements of foundation root span and pre-bias of angle tower and terminal tower, the pre-bias values of equal length leg and Overall Unequal height leg are researched. The method in this paper can directly carry out lofting. It not only saves the tedious calculation process but also can be used for a variety of connection methods, such as single-angle steel and double-angle steel main material, tower base plate and plug-in type, etc. This is better in currency, more accurate in value, and has promotion value in transmission line construction.
