ABSTRACT
The flood control section of the reservoir is crucial to the flood control operation of the reservoir and the flood control safety of the downstream river. In recent years, with the development of the social economy and the completion of river regulation, the downstream flood control section has also changed accordingly. Taking a reservoir as an example, this paper evaluates the necessity and feasibility of the downward movement of the flood control section by analyzing the flow capacity of the downstream channel of the reservoir and provides strong support for the actual operation of the reservoir.
