ABSTRACT

The association between nutrition and health depends on the favorable range of genes and functions based on the diet consumed. Dietary changes can improve well-being and diminish the dangers of improper diet-related illness, resulting in a growing interest in nutrigenomics, which directly focuses on nutrient and gene interactions. Nutrigenomics serve as a comprehension tool related to the effect of nutrition on metabolism and homeostatic regulation, which is disturbed in diet-related diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, eye disease, inflammation, cancer, obesity, etc. To suppress the expansion of such diseases, nutrition researchers are working with nutritional optimization to provide better health to patients. This chapter presents nutrigenomics and nutritional search, which are the tools for prevention of diseases, improving health, and providing a longer and better life.
