ABSTRACT

The word ‘artificial intelligence (AI)’ is coined by John McCarthy in 1956. AI has partially been used in many sectors like medical sector, industry sector, hospitality sector, business sector, that have aided the business opportunities, this had aided the economic growth. AI have also been used in hospitality sector like Alexa a voice commanded speaker system that can be activated through a voice, chat-robots that scans the ID of the guest and updates in the hotel server, that way the process of check-in and check-out can be quicker and service robots that does room service for the guest. AI has contributed to the global economy which gave opportunities for business. AI will be used very often in the upcoming years. The main objective of this chapter is to explore the different ways AI to be used in hospitality industry and how AI contributes to the industry.
