ABSTRACT

Incremental forming allows for the rapid and low-cost production of prototype goods as well as low-volume production of final products. Particularly in aviation and biomedical industries, this method can be used effectively. In this study, finite element analysis was performed of the single-point incremental forming of a titanium sheet. Titanium grade 2 was chosen as the material with a tool tip radius of 15 mm. Sheet thickness ranged from 0.5 mm to 2.5 mm. The effects of wall thickness on incremental forming were investigated.
