ABSTRACT

This chapter explores the integration of the Quantum Internet of Things (QIoT) with smart healthcare services within the Metaverse, presenting a paradigm shift in healthcare delivery. By fusing quantum technologies with virtual reality environments, a novel ecosystem emerges where quantum-enabled sensors, secure communication, and advanced computing reshape healthcare interactions. Quantum-enhanced sensors monitor physiological data with unmatched precision, seamlessly transmitting real-time information to the Metaverse. Quantum cryptography ensures the security and privacy of sensitive health data exchanged within virtual consultations, paving the way for remote telemedicine and personalized diagnostics. Quantum computing optimizes complex simulations, expediting drug discovery and treatment simulations. However, challenges like quantum hardware stability and user interface design must be navigated. This chapter highlights the transformative potential of integrating QIoT with the Metaverse in healthcare, offering innovative solutions that redefine patient care, diagnostics, and medical research.
