ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses the role of intention, articulation, and manifestation in creating art using artificial intelligence (AI). It emphasizes that art is the human impulse to transform and transcend, and AI is a tool that allows for new dimensions of transformation. We highlight the importance of intention, stating that AI cannot initiate without human intent. When generating images with AI, the process starts with a text prompt articulating the desired intention. The resulting images are often beyond imagination and create moments of surprise, discovery, and sacredness. The chapter also emphasizes the role of beauty in art, stating that aesthetic beauty is not inherent but rather a matter of revelation and recognition. It discusses the significance of articulating intent and its challenge when using AI image generators. We further explain the concepts of manifestation and the creation of tangible objects based on intention and articulation. The chapter also asserts that AI technology should be seen as an invitation to improve and expand on the pathway of intentionality. The potential impact of AI on art and design is discussed, with the passage suggesting that it has the potential to democratize creativity and open new dimensions of self-discovery. We conclude by discussing artistic vision, the blurring line between humans and machines, and the creative insights and inspiration that can be derived from AI-generated images.
