This chapter probes into the profound ways form influences perception, expanding the frontiers of our imagination within both physical and virtual domains. When interacting with virtual reality content, individuals perceive objects in a manner akin to their real-world counterparts. Enhancing our sensory experiences in the virtual realm amplifies our perception of space and objects within the physical world.
Utilizing generative AI in form design opens up a world of possibilities that transcend the constraints of traditional archetypes, enabling their reinvention in terms of form. The abstraction of form provides a unique avenue for us to react to observations, construct new interpretations, and gain a deeper understanding. Virtual reality experiences are not limited to representing mere virtual objects; they can also encapsulate the rich tapestry of diverse societies, accommodating different abilities and experiences and thereby enriching the meaning and communication of form.
