ABSTRACT

The present chapter explores how artificial intelligence (AI), specifically neural networks, can augment and enhance creative intention. It suggests that AI systems can transcend the constraining impact of personal biases and skill sets when generating art from a specified intent. Where humans may be confined by their unique biases and abilities, non-artist individuals leveraging AI can create imagery imbued with a far-reaching significance, allowing for the expression of intention that surpasses individual perceptions and preconceptions. The discussion extends to the interface between AI and human language, underscoring that while AI has reached a point where it can communicate using language that humans comprehend, its articulation of intent does not mirror the human mode of expression. It culminates in the observation that art is generally viewed as an expression of human sentiment. While AI can simulate this expression, it cannot fully encapsulate the artist's original envisioned intent.
