ABSTRACT

Intelligence is the capabilities that allow an individual to think, learn and acquire knowledge and behave accordingly. Intelligence may be categorized as human intelligence and Computational Intelligence (CI). This chapter discusses how CI can be utilized for the welfare of human beings. Fuzzy logic is a technique for making fast decisions. This strategy is comparable to human decision-making options between YES and NO. One of the key CI techniques that searches for a form of “reasoning” similar to that of humans is learning theory. Learning, according to psychology, is the process of acquiring, enhancing or changing knowledge, skills, beliefs and worldviews by combining emotional, contextual and cognitive influences and experiences. Additionally, CI is also useful at several stages such as diagnosis of disease, development of drug, personalized medicine, patient monitoring and care. AI technology differs from traditional technologies for its ability to collect data, clean and process data and produce a well-defined output to the end-user.
