ABSTRACT

Communication has played a vital role in road safety and traffic management of vehicles – from simple traffic signals to advanced signals in the future, which will facilitate and regulate the movement of driverless cars and make the journey of the user safe and convenient. Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing is the modulation technique used in 3GPP 5G NR V2X. So, the CAVs in a V2X network are allocated time-frequency blocks called Resource Blocks. The MAC layer protocols are made up of algorithms/ schemes whose performance can be evaluated based on their computational complexity. In future, overall system analysis needs to be done considering both the MAC layer and higher layers. Studies on long-term vehicular data analysis in higher layers of the architecture and real-time decisions at MAC layers with their coordination also require thorough research.
