The COVID-19 pandemic had impacted the global travel and tourism industry. In India, the total loss incurred by the travel and tourism is estimated to be Rs 5 lakh crore or $65.57 billion and the organized tourism sector has reported a loss of $25 billion (IBEF, 2021; Times of Indıa, 2020) In this chapter, domestic tourism, its trends, and practices post COVID-19 are studied in context of India. Domestic tourism is defined as “tourism involving residents of one country traveling only within that country.” Due to the pandemic, many developments have happened within the tourism sector, leading to many changes in tourist consumer behavior and business processes, which have led to new tourism trends. The aim of the study is to uncover patterns and methods in Indian domestic tourism that may be replicated in other nations.
