ABSTRACT
As the tourism industry is developed upon quite sensitive balances, it is influenced by several incidents in a negative and positive manner to a national and international extent. Particularly, the pandemic and natural disasters such as floods, hurricanes, forest fires, droughts, and earthquakes that affected them hindered the development and improvement of the tourism industry. In recent days, the pandemic, which has affected a lot of countries around the world, has influenced the tourism industry as well as many other sectors in national and international dimensions. Similarly, as natural disasters also have the potential to harm tourism establishments, touristic attractions, and tourists, the situation of the destination and the country experienced and the crisis environment influence tourism for certain. From this point of view, the pandemics and disasters experienced in the study were discussed, and the effects of pandemics and disasters on the tourism industry were examined. Suggestions for the recovery of the tourism industry from pandemics and disasters were presented.
