ABSTRACT

In this study, information is given about crisis management in tourism enterprise and the importance of implementing an emergency response plan. A crisis can be defined as an event that occurs as a result of an unexpected change in the internal or external environment of the enterprise and threatens the physical and financial condition of the enterprise, its future, and its employees physically and spiritually. Crisis management, on the contrary, can be expressed as determining what needs to be done against the crisis and its effects, making crisis plans, putting them into practice, and evaluating the results. It is known that if the emergency response plan, which does not always have negative effects on businesses, is implemented, it provides important opportunities for tourism businesses and makes them one step ahead of their competitors. The aim of the study is to reveal the importance of the management of crises and emergency response plans, especially due to pandemic diseases.
