ABSTRACT

Since younger generations are constantly changing, their needs and circumstances have changed, and they now require a high level of digital competence. For this reason, teachers must learn how to respond to student’s needs in a way that is safe, didactic, and educational. To accomplish this, it is necessary for teachers to carry out the teaching-learning process of students and to encourage the acquisition of critical competencies in learners. To use ICT in the classroom critically, dynamically, and creatively, instructors need a certain set of skills, competencies, knowledge, and attitudes, which is what is meant by “digital competency.” This paper aims at finding out the gap between maintaining sustainable quality education and adaptability of teachers in perceiving digital literacy.
