ABSTRACT

This study proposes to examine the implications of multiple factors like Attitude towards Entrepreneurship (ATE), Perceived Behavioural Control (PBC), and Subjective Norm (SN) on entrepreneurial intention (EI) among Indian university students. The study uses feedback from 192 Indian University Students who have self-reported through a structured questionnaire. Partial Least Square-SEM (PLS-SEM) was applied to assess the study’s model and the postulated hypothesis. It shows the effects of study variables on Entrepreneurship Intention (EI). Attitude Towards Entrepreneurship (ATE) catalyzes the relationship between Entrepreneurship Education (EE) and EI, while Perceived Behavioural Control (PBC) notably arbitrates the relationship between EE & EI along with SN & EI. India’s Education Ministry should consider designing university programs that lead to more influential EE thus promoting entrepreneurship. Subsequent evaluation should consider the impact of Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB) on entrepreneurial activities in rural areas of India. This study proposes to the Indian Government to make entrepreneurship education a compulsory course in Indian schools to influence youth’s attitude toward entrepreneurship.
