ABSTRACT

All workers, whether full-time or part-time, are entitled to a safe and healthy workplace in accordance with the company’s policy. A large number of people lose their lives in the building industry, countless disasters and permanent human harm occur, and the construction process is often interrupted. Injuries in the construction industry will continue to have far-reaching consequences, from the suffering of the wounded employees themselves to construction delays and lost productivity for the construction supplier to increased workers’ compensation premiums. These deaths cannot be tolerated, and they rob the building industry of its credibility in modern society when so much progress has been made in this area. The industry as a whole suffers when workers are injured or killed. This literature study details the steps necessary to ensure workplace safety and shows how five main challenges or causes contribute to the high accident rate.
