ABSTRACT

‘Vastu’ is derived from the Sanskrit sound ‘Vas,’ which includes terms for garments, homes, and dwellings. Vastu Shastra describes ‘Vastu’ as immortal and mortal cohabitation. Vaastu Shastra is the positioning of items based on cosmic energy, which affects our life. Design, layout, groundwork, space organisation, and spatial geometry are explored. It sometimes combines Hindu and Buddhist beliefs. Vastu shastra depicts the link between space and form in a building (or collection of structures). The system combines navigation, astronomy, and astrology. Originating in Indian philosophy, mathematics, geology, geography, and religion, it examines topography, roads, and solar influences. Earth’s magnetism, energy, and elements.
