ABSTRACT

The method of fabrication to be used for creating vacuum electronic (VE) THz devices that require tight-tolerance features should not be left as an afterthought. At such scale-lengths as required for THz slow-wave devices, the fabrication method often drives what type of circuit can be readily produced, rather than being a mere means used to an arbitrary end. With that limitation in mind, it is important to identify what types of circuits may be achievable for a given fabrication technology.
