ABSTRACT

This monograph chapter analyzes renewables’ role in ensuring sustainable agriculture development. The renewable energy production and its importance for sustainable agriculture development are discussed. Renewable energy production and usage in agriculture can ensure the implementation of circular economy principles and achieve low-carbon transition in agriculture as the use of biomass linked to waste in agriculture can provide for sustainable energy usage in agriculture, reduction of waste, and GHG emissions in this sector. The agriculture sector is an important source of GHG emissions, and using various agricultural wastes for energy generation provides double the GHG emission reduction from agriculture and energy-related GHG emissions in this sector.

The main research methods are analysis and synthesis of scientific literature, systematization, and generalization.
