ABSTRACT

This study utilized Don Ihde's Human-Technology Relations Theory within the framework of the Phenomenology of Technology as the methodology and incorporated related concepts from Phenomenology and Hermeneutics Theory to establish its research context. The focus was on exploring the creativity and discourse of new media art based on the idea of perception and bodily engagement. The thesis highlights the need for four types of human-computer dynamic structures and provides an analysis of these structures in the context of new media interactive installations. The aim of this study, which also serves as its main contribution, is to offer new media artists potential considerations for designing interactive installations, including interactive processes and dynamic system creative structures.
