ABSTRACT

Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers enormous potential for societal advancement and innovation. Human-centered AI (HCAI) is a potential route for developing AI systems that boost human self-efficacy, encourage creativity, explain responsibility, and make social engagement easier. Privacy, security, environmental conservation, social fairness, and human rights are all encouraged by these human ambitions. A two-dimensional HCAI paradigm demonstrates how high levels of human control and high levels of automation can coexist. This chapter describes what is human in the loop in terms of automated planning, the necessity for this presence, and also offers a framework for reasoning and planning. It has been stated that designing AI for people is critical for societal well-being and for the common good. In this chapter, the use cases for AI and analytics to reduce supply chain interruption are discussed. However, the term “human-centered” is frequently used without reference to a philosophy or overarching methodology. This study covers the contributions of various philosophical perspectives and Human-Centered Design methods to the development of Artificial Intelligence. Through a genuine human-centered mindset and approach, human-centered Artificial Intelligence entails involving people and building Artificial Intelligence systems for people. It can assist in getting the most performance and scalability out of business data. From supply chain analytics and data visualization to data warehousing and business intelligence solutions, which can equip the company with the best services available.
