ABSTRACT
This paper describes the assessment procedure to simulate the bottom contact of MV Estonia- a passenger ferry that sank on 28th of September 1994. Paper focuses on the description of a simplified method for sinking dynamics and on the numerical assessment model for detailed bottom contact evaluation. The initial simulation results are presented.
