ABSTRACT

The pontoon interception system is adopted to prevent ship collision for protect bridge, which consists of pontoon, anchor chain, anchor and cable. The pontoon interception system considering fluid structure coupling are established by using nonlinear finite element method, and the dynamic process of ship impact interception system is simulated. The fluid structure coupling method is used to consider the effect of the flow field in the collision process. The influences of ship mass, speed, impact point, anchor number on the dynamic response are investigated. The results show that the designed interception system can effectively stop ships and protect bridges. The impact of different tonnage ships on the force of anchor chain and cable has little effect, and the mass of anchor can effectively reduce the interception distance of ships.
