With the advent of industrial revolutions 4.0, automation has facilitated connections between electronic devices around the world, including mobile devices, storage devices, network devices, cyber physical system devices, and even PCs as digital evidence. As a result, the number of cybercrimes has increased. Cyberattacks are spreading quickly and getting more serious. The attacked firm takes a number of replanned activities in response to the attacks. Digital forensics application is one of these steps, which helps with the recovery and analysis of content on networks and electronic devices. Digital data is collected and examined in some measure of cyber forensic analysis in order to confirm or deny the existence of a web theft. In the past, computers were only used to store enormous amounts of data and conduct several operations on them. However, today’s computers are utilized for more tasks, including crime investigation. The choice and use of forensic technologies is crucial for resolving these cyber-related issues. Numerous cyber forensic tools have been developed by the creators for solid research and faster investigations. Police departments and investigative agencies choose the tools based on a number of variables, including the budget and the team’s available expertise. This chapter discusses the significance of cyber forensics and its history, as well as the forensic framework, various kinds of available cyber forensic tools, and their applications.
