ABSTRACT
An integrated digital solution, the Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Information and Management System (APAIMS), was developed by the government of Andhra Pradesh to analyze various agricultural data sets and produce meaningful advisories. The primary stakeholder is the farmer; all advisory and support services are created and offered with the ultimate benefit of the farmer in mind.
The integrated platform captures data such as soil health card data, localized weather data from automatic weather stations (AWSs), and soil moisture data from sensors, and further, it superimposes insights derived from satellite data, information on water availability, geospatial data, crop phenology models, and so on. The APAIMS digital platform capabilities include assimilation of complex data backed by analytics and a knowledge engine to produce holistic “farm-specific” advisories.
