ABSTRACT

This chapter investigates the different human resources practices adopted in the IT sector. To meet present-era demands, IT companies must develop some noticeable HR strategies and eliminate desirable HR activities to gain an advantage in maintaining brand image. The present chapter aims to identify the factors responsible for the bad and good HR practises and their differentiation in the Indian IT industry. It also aims to cover the major implications of the good and bad HR practices for the HRM framework and effectiveness. It is being discovered that IT enterprises having great HR activities and functions have a solid human asset framework and are becoming the forerunners in the help market. Nonetheless, each of these techniques has increased the commitment of human resource professionals. It is self-evident that enterprises that can manage their human resources effectively will reap numerous benefits in terms of the firm’s effectiveness and development. This chapter followed a subjective approach to dealing with better comprehending the great and bad human resource practises and comprehending their significance in the Indian IT field.
