ABSTRACT

A diseased prey predator model with herd behaviour exhibited by prey population has been analysed in the current study. The modified functional response of Holling type-II, where the prey-density term is given by its square root, has been incorporated into the model. Details of the boundedness of solutions, conditions for the existence of points of equilibria, and their stability analyses have all been studied. Global stability and Hopf bifurcation have also been presented. The biomass conversion parameter has been shown to play a crucial impact in the system’s dynamics. Analytical findings has been substantially supported by numerical simulation of the proposed model, which have been done using MATLAB. Biological implications of the results have also been discussed.
