ABSTRACT

An outbreak from which now the whole world is fighting, a coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19) was first identified in December 2019 in Wuhan, China. The current situation has become pandemic in nature in which social distancing and isolation are effective to date. Social gatherings or religious gatherings act as fuel to the spread of this virus. Due to such gatherings, individuals may get exposed who are either infected or quarantined. They are then hospitalized if the condition worsens and may recover over a period of time. So, a systematic pathway is designed to scrutinize the spread pattern of individuals due to the transmission of the virus through such gatherings. Moreover, a non-linear differential equation is formulated by the proposed mathematical model which is further used to calculate the threshold to study the impact of a viral pandemic due to social gatherings. To curtail the spread, optimal controls are applied which will help limit the disastrous outcomes to a certain level. Also, to substantiate the data numerical simulation are carried out and the transmission patterns for respective compartments are studied.
