ABSTRACT

The research is based on the application of the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system in a simulation environment. The basic approach is to study and improve solutions in automation toward resourceful usage of water. The SCADA system is being utilized in monitoring water accumulation, storage, circulation, and distribution of water in a particular area or location. The system uses various automation processes for accumulation and measuring water levels. The general information flow of the system can be understood by studying the information flow diagram, which accepts data from various sources and is forwarded to PLC, which is used as a programming environment for processing the data. SCADA software is used as a front end for monitoring and controlling the processed data. The SQL Server 2008 serves as a database, and a final report is generated through the crystal report.
