ABSTRACT
With the rapid development of technology, the use of artificial intelligence and related technologies in almost every field has increased significantly. Artificial intelligence applications are used in almost all areas, such as education, engineering, and the defense industry. One of the essential areas of artificial intelligence applications in the health sector. In this chapter of the book, artificial intelligence methods that are frequently used in dentistry and explainable artificial intelligence methods are examined, along with an overview of the dental field, which is one of the critical sectors in health. In addition, theoretical research was carried out by examining the academic studies published in the field of artificial intelligence and explainable artificial intelligence in dentistry.
