ABSTRACT

This article introduced the overview of the Ningbo Hangzhou Bay Coastal Wetland Bank Protection (Phase III) and analyzed the impact of project implementation on marine hydrodynamics, erosion and sedimentation environment, as well as the marine ecological environment and sensitive targets, and estimated the marine ecological damage value of the project. A comprehensive evaluation conclusion was given on the project's impact on marine ecology, and ecological restoration strategies were proposed. This study suggests that the bank and beach protection project has not caused serious damage to the surrounding hydrological dynamics, erosion, sedimentation environment, and ecological environment and has a relatively small impact on sensitive targets.
