ABSTRACT

The term “Industry 5.0” describes a new era in industrial production characterized by the extensive implementation of front-line technologies that endorse harmonious association between humans and machines, and so facilitate smart and efficient manufacturing arrangements. This research investigates the key technological approaches that steer the progression of Industry 5.0, which together upgrade a unified and organized manufacturing ecosystem. The goal of Industry 5.0 is to expand productivity by integrating innovative technologies with human strengths. Innovation, problem-solving skills, and tractability are all characteristics of the human mind, while speed, accuracy, and scalability are the qualities of machines. This chapter looks at the significant importance and role of several advanced technologies within the framework of Industry 5.0. Specifically, it concentrates on robotics and automation, IoT, artificial intelligence and Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics, Digital Twin, and blockchain. The discourse extensively examines the incorporation and utilization of these technologies in the context of Industry 5.0, with a particular focus on their contribution to fostering collaborative empowerment in the industrial domain.
