ABSTRACT

The global semiconductor market was valued at USD 430 billion in 2021 and expected to reach USD 772.03 billion by 2030. Increase in demand on chips last several years lead to short supply globally for nearly two years. The discussions came just days after Congress passed the Chips and Science Act, which provides $52 billion in subsidies to incentivize chip manufacturers to build factories in the United States. Verification engineers requires strong analytical skills and creative thinking. There are numerous scenarios to think through not only at system/chip level but also at the application level, where things could really go wrong. The main IDEA in constraint random verification using random vectors in simulation. While on module level focus was on black box testing of functionality and reaching each line and condition in design code, on SoC level is focus on verifying all connections between the blocks are functioning correctly and that data flows properly around the SoC.
