ABSTRACT

This chapter intends to describe and justify the need and importance of blended approaches in teaching and learning at different levels of education. Due to the initiation of Technology 4.0, Education 4.0, Industry 4.0, etc., the 2k generation is enjoying many opportunities and obstacles. Psychologically, Technology 4.0 forced the 2k generation to be engaged in the digital world, learn in digital media, maintain digital relationships, earn online, spend online, make a virtual tour, etc. E-learning may boost the cognitive domain, but digital life is gradually reducing social competency. On the other hand, conventional learning gives more importance to the affective dominion, which will be very helpful in real-world situations. Keeping the above conceptual framework as background, this chapter describes the need and significance of blended teaching and learning in the contemporary educational system. It is the need of the hour to redefine the modern models of education for the fourth 21st-century Industrial Revolution 4.0. The Education 4.0 resource aims to enhance and prepare the talented 2k generation through blended learning in school and higher education transformation.
