ABSTRACT

Nutraceuticals are the components to provide specific health benefits beyond giving just basic nutrition. Milk has been rightly termed as a complete food as it contains almost all essential nutrients essential for the normal functioning of the human body, like maintenance, growth, and fighting against diseased conditions. Various components of milk have shown promising results in a protection against gout, thyroid malfunctions, and several other metabolic disorders. Bioactive peptides form an impactful part of the nutraceutical components of milk. They also comprise of coenzymes, which enhance the biological significance and physiological functionality of dairy products. This chapter aims at the estimation of selected nutraceutical components of milk and their analysis.
