ABSTRACT

Prof. John O’Donnell is a Melbourne-based health professional. He is a highly experienced orthopedic surgeon and has a practice located in Richmond, Australia. He graduated from the University of Melbourne, Australia, in 1977 and completed his orthopedic training in 1985. He undertook further training and study in the UK, France, and Austria and then returned to Melbourne to take up appointments at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Royal Children’s Hospital. Prof. John O’Donnell is committed to providing the best possible care to patients with hip problems with the aim of helping them regain their quality of life and educating other surgeons and health workers around the globe. His special interests are hip arthroscopy, labral repair and reconstruction, impingement surgery, instability, repair of chondral defects, including autologous matrix–induced chondrogenesis, direct anterior approach total hip replacement.
