ABSTRACT

In the present paper the experimental results of ultrasound velocity, viscosity and density have been determined in methanol and ethanol mixtures with aqueous citric acid (0.1 m, 0.5 m and 1.0 m) over entire composition range 0 to 100% at 308.15 K. Excess viscosity and excess free volume have been calculated to learn and analyze interactions nature of component molecules and their extent. The experimental details suggest complex formation at low concentrations of alkanol.
