ABSTRACT
This paper presents fruit sense, which is capable of sensing the freshness of fruit by using NodeMCU. It is an open source IoT platform. It includes firmware which runs on wi-fi SoC from Espressif Systems. The term NodeMCU by default refers to Firmware. Fresh fruit detection is a field that is continuing to expand due to demand world wide. It is currently more essential because of the increase in sales of fruits and vegetables as well as for the protection of our health from certain toxic based chemicals. All of the component interfaces will be completed, resulting in a low cost system which is used for determining the size, shape, and colour of the fruit. This approach can also be used for other fruits as well. Different classifiers’ advantages and shortcomings have been classified. It was discovered that in order to achieve great accuracy, a trade off with high computing complexity was required.
